– 1 large egg
– 1/4 cup unsulfured molasses

i know it’s alot of ingredients..but these r really easy to make…n it really smells like xmas in the whole house…

1. whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ground giner, allspice, and cloves
2. beat butter, both sugars, and fresh ginger until light and fluffy
3. beat egg and molasses to combine

4. mix in flour slowly…trick is to cover the mixture with napkins so that the flour wont spill out everywhere…cuz it happened when i was making the sugar cookies…so now i learned 2nd time around
5. chill the dough as the sugar cookies and cut into shape..then chill again

6. bake at 350 deg F for 15 mins…
7. space them out further…cuz i didn’t n the heads were squished against each other…n some were holding hands…
8. decorate…

Royal Icing

ingredients

– 1 lb of confectioner’s sugar
– 5 tablespoons of meringue powder
– 1/2 cup of water

mix until the mixture is fluffy n stiff enough to hold…i had alot of trouble working the royal icing…after some modifications…i finally got it to work….i need to work on  my piping skills…

i dipped the cookies in royal icing so that the kids will have a blank canvas to work on to decorate with edible markers….

everyone’s having fun decorating cookies…then we went into making some cookies

i saved some gingerbread dough so that she can roll out…
